About

Kai Chung Xu (ERR-ik) is a fine art and commercial photographer and visual designer based in Taipei, Taiwan. From 2012 to 2014, he studied fine art photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. After returning to Taiwan, he focused on fashion and live music photography, and also taught at the photography studio Onfoto (now known as for Storyteller). In 2024, he co-founded the visual company San Frandisco Ltd., offering creative services including commercial photography, graphic design, motion visuals, and post-production.  In 2025, he became a member of Photographic Art Asia (PAA), an Asia-based organization dedicated to fine art photography.
 

His fine art photography often explores abstract and surreal aesthetics, emphasizing the act of creating rather than merely taking images. He works across a range of alternative processes and photographic techniques to conduct visual experiments. Deeply inspired by music, cinema, and video game culture, his work is driven by personal passion and infused with a distinctive perspective rooted in subcultural and nerd devotion.

許愷中（ERR-ik）は、台湾・台北を拠点とする美術および商業写真家、ビジュアルデザイナーである。2012年から2014年まで、米国サンフランシスコのアカデミー・オブ・アート大学にて美術写真を専攻。帰国後はファッションやライブミュージックの撮影に従事し、写真スタジオ Onfoto（現 for Storyteller）にて講師としても活動した。2024年には、パートナーと共に視覚制作会社「San Frandisco Ltd.」を設立。商業写真、グラフィックデザイン、映像制作、ポストプロダクションなど多様なクリエイティブサービスを提供している。2025年より、美術写真に特化したアジア拠点の団体「Photographic Art Asia（PAA）」のメンバーとなる。

彼の美術写真作品は、抽象的かつ超現実的な美学を探求し、「撮る」ことよりも「創る」行為に重きを置いている。さまざまな代替プロセスや写真技法を用いた視覚実験を展開しながら、音楽・映画・ビデオゲーム文化から多大な影響を受けている。創作は常に個人的な情熱を原動力としており、サブカルチャーやオタク的視点を内包した独自の世界観を映像として表現している。
